Magnum PI episode 2 details: Carl Weathers’ appearance & what it means

What lies ahead when it comes to Magnum PI episode 2? Let’s just say that we’re going to have a very different story from the premiere. To go along with that, we’re also going to see a rather notable guest star at the same time in Carl Weathers. The legendary actor is coming on board the show as a man in desperate need of help, and there’s only one character (of course) who can properly help him.

This is a story about a theft, and about things not being exactly as they seem. For more, take a look at the Magnum PI episode 2 synopsis with some more information as to what’s ahead:

“From the Head Down” – Magnum helps Dan (Carl Weathers), a struggling fisherman and fellow veteran, when his 300-pound tuna worth $350,000 is stolen, and he discovers that the thief needs Magnum’s help as well, on MAGNUM P.I., Monday, Oct. 1 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Over the course of this episode, we imagine that there are going to be a number of different surprises, but we’re most interested just in having Weathers on board and seeing what he brings to the show in the early going. We think there’s great value in getting notable guest stars on your series early, given that they help to amplify your story and offer you up a chance to really get to know some of the established characters. Through Magnum’s interactions with Dan, you may get a chance to know more in terms of his own personality and view of the world. We got a little bit of that in the premiere, but this is something that is probably only going to become clear over time.
