The Good Doctor season 2 episode 2 preview: The aftermath of Lea’s return
Let’s frame things in this way — we’re going to have a chance to see what happens after Lea comes back into the fold. She arrived at the end of Monday’s episode, and right when Shaun probably thought that she was gone for good. It’s been a while since we last saw her, but we know what his feelings are for her and some of what could come next in terms of a relationship. Yet, there is no guarantee that either Shaun or Lea will be happy together in the end. There are a lot of different things that need to be worked out and we hope that, over the course of the episode next week, we’ll have a chance to really see some of that.

Of course, beyond just Lea’s return this is a medical show, and The Good Doctor isn’t really going to venture too far from that. There are a number of medically-based storylines coming your way, including one that could cause some tension between Shaun and Dr. Melendez, who may still be riding high after performing a risky procedure in the premiere.

As Shaun pushes back against Dr. Melendez in order to treat a gravely ill hospital janitor and deal with the return of Lea, Dr. Lim risks a lawsuit and her career to help a teenage girl repair the damage caused by an archaic custom. Meanwhile, Dr. Glassman exercises demanding oversight with Dr. Blaize in choosing a doctor for his brain surgery.
