Outlander manages to pick up People’s Choice Award nomination on write-ins

There’s some very exciting news when it comes to Outlander and the People’s Choice Awards — and it’s all thanks to dedicated fans.

The Starz drama series is now included on the shortlist for the Bingeworthy category at the awards show — something that required write-in votes in order to get there. We know that there was a lot of controversy that got us to this point, mostly in terms of how the third season was not eligible for many other categories. Despite getting the word on its eligibility in the Bingeworthy category later in the voting window, Outlander fans were able to rally and get the show in what is almost certainly going to be a competitive category this year.

What would a win for the People’s Choice Awards mean this year? If nothing else, it’s a great testament to the continued hard work of the fans to get the show some awards love, even in a year when it cannot win some of the other categories at the moment. It’s also fantastic publicity for the new season, given that Outlander premieres on November 4, just one week before the PCAs are actually held on November 11.

While there are not any other nominations for Outlander this year, there are still some opportunities to also support Sam Heughan. The Spy Who Dumped Me is nominated for Comedy Movie and his co-star Mila Kunis is up for Comedy Movie Star.

This time around, you actually have a good while in order to vote for your favorite shows — it’s continuing onward until October 19. You can check out the ballot and vote for some of your favorites now over at the link here. Congratulations to all Outlander fans for all of their hard work!
