Last Man Standing season 7 premiere: Watch online now, courtesy of Fox
Today, Fox went ahead and decided to make the full premiere episode available online as a thank-you to fans for all of their hard work in saving the show. You can choose to watch it now by heading over to the link here.
So what’s the story for the first episode? Without giving too much away, the story revolves around Eve Baxter returning home following her training from the Air Force, and the episode is stuffed with all sorts of interesting meta references to the series’ cancellation and some of the changes when it comes to the cast.
What this move also shows is that, for at least the premiere, Fox isn’t all that concerned with the ratings. It’s inevitable that there are going to be a number of people who opt to watch online now as opposed to when the show actually airs. This is basically a show that the network is playing the long game with the series and don’t plan on getting rid of it in the near future — though we do still have questions about the long-term future of Last Man Standing with Fox looking to air WWE Smackdown on Friday nights starting next season. If Last Man Standing is renewed, it does feel inevitable that the show would need to move over to another night.
Ultimately, we’re going to keep our thoughts on the premiere as a whole under wraps until the premiere episode actually airs — nonetheless, the moment it wraps we’ll share more of our thoughts, and to go along with it, a preview for what lies ahead.
