Shadowhunters star Katherine McNamara reacts to Arrow season 7 casting
This role (read more about it here) is going to allow McNamara to take part in a number of different action sequences, and it seems from her Twitter reaction below that she is more than excited for the part. It’s also clear that this has been in the works for a while, which shouldn’t be much of a shock given that most of these castings take time. Arrow was able to have a role that was perfect for her and, luckily, she had the time in her schedule to make it happen. She’s going to get a chance to work with some very-cool people on this show, and you can see some reactions to her casting below via the likes of series star Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen) as well as Echo Kellum (Curtis Holt).
One thing we would say to some Katherine fans out there is to not expect this to be a role that appears on Arrow immediately when the show premieres this October. She was still working on Shadowhunters’ season 3 finale at the time that production on Arrow started, and given that Amell just met her on Monday, she’ll probably kick off her arc a handful of episodes into the show’s run. Given that the crossover hasn’t started filming yet, though, you will have a chance to see her before Batwoman first enters the picture. We at least have a relative timeframe at the moment as to when she will turn up, but given that this is a recurring role, there could be a number of different opportunities to see her over the course of the season.
