The Good Doctor season 2 premiere sneak peek: Shaun, Dr. Glassman’s future

Good Doctor episode 2 ratings

As you prepare for the launch of The Good Doctor season 2 on ABC Monday night, we have a pair of sneak peeks that offers you a little more insight as to what’s coming up.

For Dr. Shaun Murphy, we are going to see him tested in a number of different ways — including for him as a friend. Dr. Glassman may be a mentor, but as we’ve learned already, he is also so much more. Shaun’s had to come to terms with his cancer diagnosis and on some level, he wants to be there for him. Yet, simultaneously he has to express things in the only way that he knows how. That’s why it took him some time to realize that one of the best things to do for Dr. Glassman was to be there for one of his appointments — while Aaron was spending much of his time tossing paper into the garbage. At first, Shaun was irritated by it; yet, following that he actually had an epiphany about one of the cases that he was working on. At this point, he decided to take off and rush back to one of his patients.

As for the other sneak peek below, we like to think that it gives you a small sense of the microscope that Shaun is under now that Dr. Andrews has more authority than ever before at St. Bonaventure. He’s not going to treat Shaun like he’s any different from the other doctors, and that basically means that he will be given very little slack. This is before Shaun and Jared take off to help some members of the local homeless community.
