Game of Thrones season 8: Why does Kit Harington still have haircut?
So, why does he still have the look? Speaking (via Entertainment Weekly) while at the Toronto Film Festival, he made it clear there is a good reason — possible reshoots. He has to keep prepared in the event something does happen that causes him to go back to work as Jon, and clearly a wig is not going to be a suitable double for the real thing. While it’s not 100% certain there will be reshoots, it’s certainly better to be ready just in case!
Trying to get actual spoilers on the final season from Harington is no easy task, mostly because HBO has a clamp on everyone and, beyond that, we’re not sure how many people really want the show to be ruined for them. A big part of what makes this particular era of the show so successful is that there is a certain air of secrecy to it, and there are still such a wide abundance of secrets that many people do not know.
What is known at present is that the final season is slated to be one of the biggest and most-costly ever, with there being some incredibly-epic battle sequences and likely some more surprises that you get to see along the way. For Jon in particular, we know that there is a lot that he has to sort out in between an enormous White Walker threat and also some of the feelings that he may have for Daenerys.
There is no premiere-date yet, but the final season should be back in the first half of 2019.
