Could Outlander season 4 New York Comic-Con panel contain a screening?

Is it possible that attendees at the Outlander – New York Comic-Con panel on October 6 could see the premiere in advance? While we’ve long said that it’s best to have zero expectations, it certainly seems possible.

First and foremost, there is a historical precedent to Starz doing this, mostly because this is the very thing that they did last year! We certainly think that it’s something that they could decide to do this again. Beyond just that, you just have to look at the schedule. The Outlander panel is happening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Eastern time at the Hulu Theater at MSG — this is the longest of any of the major, TV-related panels at the convention that are themed around a single show. If they don’t show the full premiere, it certainly feels like Starz is going to show something. It’s incredibly rare for a cast and crew to do a panel discussion for a full 90 minutes. Regardless of whatever it is, it feels like it’s going to be a must-attend panel for any Outlander fans who are at the convention.

“Outlander” will come back for its fourth season on Nov. 4, but the STARZ series will make its first series appearance at NYCC. Stars Caitriona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Sophie Skelton, and Richard Rankin are set to attend and talk about the new season and the romantic adventures of Claire (Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Heughan) in America.

New episodes of the series will premiere on November 4, and at that point everyone will have a chance to watch! We certainly know that not everyone loved the premiere screening happening earlier last year, but it makes sense from a marketing standpoint: It gets people buzzing about the show on a grassroots level and that never hurts for a show like this.
