9-1-1 season 2 spoilers: American Horror Story actress signs up!
According to a new report from TVLine, Christine Estabrook of American Horror Story (she’s best known as the realtor from the first and fifth season) is going to be appearing on at least one upcoming episode in the role of the “perfect” 9-1-1 dispatch operator. She is someone who will work alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt’s character of Maddie, and will be appearing first in a statement known as “Awful People.” Hopefully, that’s not something that is going to be tied to this particular character.
In speaking about this casting a little bit further, executive producer Tim Minear had the following to say to the aforementioned website:
We love making relationships with actors and artists and crew members … You always want to bring back the people that do well for you. This role wasn’t written with [Estabrook] in mind, but then her name came up, and Ryan [Murphy] and I were like, ‘Of course!’ We wrote it for her without even realizing it. When you see her in the part, you’re going to know exactly what I mean.”
9-1-1 season 2 is going to be premiering on Fox come Sunday, September 23, where it will air the first hour of what is, at the end of the day, a two-night event. Expect a lot of action and drama in that as it works to set the stage for the remainder of the season. We know that expectations are high for the series to deliver! That is what happens when you come out of the gate with big ratings and have a production team with the sort of hits that Murphy and Minear had already on their resume.
