Making It finale preview: Who should win season 1?
Entering the finale, there are still three contestants and all of them have a reasonably good shot at winning. Khiem, Jo, and Amber are the three contestants remaining and all three of them have a good shot at winning. It’s really a tough show to predict just because they all approach crafting differently and have different strengths and weaknesses.
Ultimately, we actually think that the winner here could be determined mostly on A) what the specific final challenges are and B) whether or not certain people are in the right creative space for the day. Just one little thing on a show like this can trip you up, but in the end we think that everyone is going to come out of this with what they want: A chance to further showcase their love of crafting with others. Maybe that means more work on various projects or a chance to make certain aspects of what they love into a full-time career.
The best thing about the finale? We know that it’s not the final episode of the show! NBC has already ordered a second season of Making It, one that should prove to be a nice little escape from the craziness of the outside world. It’s the perfect show for the summer, really to the point where it doesn’t matter as a viewer who wins and who loses. This really is a case where it’s the humor and the creativity that matter the most — luckily, we’ve had that in droves. We’ll be back next week to break things down further.
