The image HERE features two of the new characters on the series in Ben and Rebecca, who are law clerks and are going to be working alongside Callie at the clinic this season. These characters are going to be rather integral to her development in her new profession, mostly because they could either be helpful or a source of tension depending on the storyline at any given moment. We do think that one of the big challenges when it comes to a show like Good Trouble is reminding us that while we are not invested in some of these characters’ stories quite like we care Callie, they also do have stories. With that in mind, there is a lot of interesting possibilities for the writers moving forward.

What’s also notable from a casting point of view is that the actress behind Rebecca is going to be very busy. Molly McCook (who plays the character) was also recently cast on Last Man Standing, where she will be replacing Molly Ephraim in the role of Mandy Baxter. This is a nice balancing act for her, given that she is doing some more dramatic work on this show before going on to do something a little more comedic over there.

As for how Callie’s job impacts her, we imagine that there are going to be some significant emotional strains put on her while employed there. She is working for a prominent conservative judge and with that, her challenge is going to be finding a way to connect with someone who is not altogether inclined to listen to her. He may have his own beliefs and because of that, be rather set in his ways.
