Big Little Lies season 2, Game of Thrones, Veep season 7 & more teased in new HBO video
The basic objective of this preview is very much clear, and that is to offer up a rather-comprehensive preview of a number of the different shows that are coming up, whether it be the second season of Big Little Lies, the return of Game of Thrones, the upcoming final season of Veep, or the third season of True Detective. We already reported that True Detective is going to premiere in January, but you’re going to have to wait a little while longer for some of the network’s other heavy hitters.
If you like new footage, there’s a little bit in here for many of the aforementioned shows — the Game of Thrones previews are rather scarce, but there is at least a little something in here.
Do we think that the goal here is to present a series of jaw-dropping clips? Not really. Instead, we feel more that this is a reminder for everyone as to all of the stuff that HBO has coming out. They rather simply just want you to have all of these things on your mind so that you don’t forget about them over the course of the super-long hiatus coming up. Given just how big of a hiatus we are talking about here for some of these shows like Veep, it’s not all that hard to figure that there could be some shows that end up slipping through the cracks.
Ultimately, HBO may have the most stacked roster of shows of any premium cable network out there. Just remember here that on the other side of these shows mentioned here, there is also a Game of Thrones prequel in development to go along with Watchmen, which was recently given a series order.
