Shameless season 9 video: Emmy Rossum on Fiona’s journey

Come Sunday, September 9, you are going to have a chance to Shameless season 9 on the air, and of course for many characters, they are going to get themselves in trouble.

For Fiona Gallagher, however, she’s going to continue her best to try and move forward. Over the past couple of years she has found her way in the world as a business owner, and moving into season 9 we’re going to see even more of her as an entrepreneur. She’s looking to get more into commercial real estate, and as star Emmy Rossum notes in the video below (via TVLine), there are some advantages and disadvantages that come along with that. There’s also a possibility that Fiona gets herself in too deep far too early and struggles to really keep up with some of what’s going on around her.

Is there so much more money to be gained from this? Sure, but there is also significantly more to lose and we’re not sure that we really want to see Fiona suffering too much more just because we’ve seen that from her so many times before already. At this point, it really would just be nice to see one of these characters have a pretty successful run where they don’t repeatedly face-plant for one reason or another.

Also. Rossum discusses in the video below the relationship that is there between Fiona and Ford entering season 9 — while they get along in many different ways, there are some obvious hurdles that the two are facing, with one of the biggest ones being Ford’s inability to really be on the level with her. He’s cagey and coy, and she is the sort of person who really likes to know what’s going on at just about every moment — which, of course, is perfectly understandable.
