The Blacklist season 6 spoilers: What lies ahead for Aram?

As we gear up for The Blacklist season 6 premiering on NBC in the new year, we’re doing weekly spotlights! Every Saturday, we focus in on a character and try to get more of a sense as to what could be coming up for them.

This brings us to today’s piece, which is all about Amir Arison’s character of Aram Mojtabai. This is a character who made quite the journey over season 5, going from the FBI’s computer guy to an occasional field agent and also a fiance for Samar by the end of it. Going into season 6, there’s probably more potential for great Aram stories than ever based on where we left off.

So what do we want to see? We’ve got a few ideas that we’re mulling over already…

The Aram undercover mission – We want to see more opportunities to get this character out in the field, especially doing things that he’s not often used to. Being at the center of more undercover missions to take down Blacklisters would be very much exciting. It’s a new acting challenge for starters for Arison, but it also allows other cast members to do something different. For example, Liz and Samar would get to experience being worried for him being out in the field rather than the other way around. Also, it’s a test of all of his training.

Another interesting idea is to throw him out in the field with other character he’s not used to working with one-on-one in that capacity. Think about a joint undercover mission with Ressler and Aram far from the rest of the team.

A possible ally for Liz in her search – Could Liz rope Aram into the information that she has on Reddington? One interesting reason to do that is to get a master researcher on her side; his skills may help in the pursuit of clues. Also, we do kinda want to see scenes where Aram is around Reddington and has a secret that he has to keep from him. Would Aram succeed in playing it cool?

Of course, a wedding – The romance of the ceremony itself would be well-earned, but beyond that there are some opportunities here to show us some people that are in these characters’ lives that we haven’t seen just yet. Maybe they don’t have a huge, 500-people affair, but it would be nice to use this as an opportunity to learn about the history and the other people in their lives.
