New American Horror Story: Apocalypse teaser features Sarah Paulson’s Venable
The video below seems to be, at least in part, an advertisement to a new sweepstakes that the series and FX are highlighting — however, it also makes it clear that this is some sort of selection for people to prepare themselves for the end of the world. Is it possible that this character featured here is not Venable, and someone created just for the promo? In theory sure, but that’s also a lot of work to go through just for the sake of creating a teaser.
Venable is one of three characters that Paulson is going to be playing on the upcoming eighth season of the franchise, as she is also going to play her Murder House and Coven characters over the course of the crossover. She will also be directing one episode, which is set to feature an appearance from Jessica Lange for the first time in years.
While we recognize that American Horror Story is just one of many different things that Paulson does throughout the year (she’s clearly one of the busiest people out there), this is probably still the show that she is best known for and she’s become very integral to its success. Paulson’s name wasn’t the first one on the poster or in the credits many years ago, but over time it’s come to rely on her as the anchor. Given the different seasons and the importance of her characters, she has more to do than ever before.
