NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 spoilers: Esai Morales to play Deputy Director Gaines

NCIS: Los Angeles

NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 will have a new person in power over some of the proceedings with the team, and it is certainly a well-known name in actor Esai Morales.

According to a report from Deadline, Morales (whose credits include How to Get Away with Murder, NYPD, Chicago PD, and Ozark) is going to be recurring over the course of the new season as Deputy Director Gaines. There isn’t too much known about the character just yet, but given that he is Deputy Director, we’re curious to see where exactly he fits in on the food chain with some of the other powerful characters we’ve seen on the show over the years.

In a new statement confirming the news of Morales’ casting, here is what executive producer R. Scott Gemmill had to say on the subject:

“Following the rescue mission in Mexico from last season’s finale and this season’s premiere, our NCIS: Los Angeles team will face challenging repercussions, but they will have a new ally in the Deputy Director … We are thrilled that the talented Esai Morales has signed on to this recurring role.”

We imagine that the team is going to need all of the help that they can get judging from some of what happened to them at the end of this past season, where they were forced to take on a number of difficult challenges. Heck, it’s still not confirmed that we are even going to see all of these characters make it through alive! That’s something that we discuss more over at the link here.
