VMAs 2018 red carpet: Where to watch, live-stream pre-show

Tonight, the 2018 VMAs are airing on MTV, which means more than likely a night full of notable stars and crazy headlines. This is a show that likes to push the envelope, and we certainly think that they are going to be doing so again tonight.

Of course, in leading up to the big show, there is also going to be a red-carpet pre-show starting up at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time. You can watch that via live stream over at the link here online; meanwhile, check out the pre-show featuring Pauly D and Vinny from Jersey Shore Family Vacation – that is going to be starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern over on MTV.

The awards-show itself officially is set to kick off at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, and we certainly imagine that it is going to be quite a big year. MTV is keeping some aspects of the show under wraps for as long as they possibly can. Ariana Grande, Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, and more are on the roster to perform. Cardi B is going to help to open the show this year, but it’s not going to be with a performance.

Ultimately, we do think that the less information that you know about the VMAs going into it, the better off you’re going to be. This really is one of those situations where a big part of the fun with the show comes out of the unpredictability of it all and not knowing precisely how everything is going to shake ou. It’s the sort of you-have-to-watch-live experience that you really do not get anywhere else.
