Unforgotten season 3 episode 6 (finale) spoilers: A shock with the Hayley case
Yet, entering this episode the real focus is on Tim as a major suspect in what happened — the police will be investigating him, but will all of the evidence really line up? There have certainly already been inquiries about suspects that ended up being seemingly not involved, and there’s still plenty of time in which they could be wrong once more. Yet, if they are wrong here, it’s going to be all about acting quickly. This isn’t Cassie and Sunny’s first rodeo, though, so they should be able to pivot and figure out precisely where they want to go moving forward.
While the Unforgotten episode 6 synopsis does not offer up all of the details surrounding Sunday’s finale, it gives you a good sense of what could lie ahead:
Following the discovery of items found at his house, Tim insists that he bought the seemingly incriminating objects for his girls at a fete in Middenham during another holiday … However the team are not buying Tim’s story and call Jessica and her mum in to see if the objects can be identified as Hayley’s.
When they make it clear that the possessions can’t be hers though, Cassie and Sunny are back to square one … Then a new discovery leaves them shocked and devastated, hitting Cassie particularly hard.
With all of this in mind, it feels reasonably fair to say that this is going to be more than just a finale rooting in mystery. It’s also going to be a rather-personal one for Hayley to go along with it. We’ll have more on this final episode come tomorrow, and we’re expecting our minds to be spinning after the reveal.
