As we recently reported, Roiz is going to be playing a US Marshal named Luke Reynolds in the first episode. There are ultimately so many different reasons why that character could need the help of Lucifer and the entire LAPD team (we discuss that more here), but we love it when some of these characters interact with outside law enforcement. Even when you take out the fact that Lucifer Morningstar is actually the devil, this is a group that still has a great capacity for hijinks.

One other thing that we’ve always loved about Lucifer is that they’ve done a wonderful job casting actors who already have established fanbases — often in either crime TV or sci-fi / fantasy. For some examples, just take a look at Tricia Helfer, Timothy Omundson, Tom Welling, or now Roiz. There are certainly many others that we’re not even mentioning at this very moment.

One of the things that we are especially curious about with season 4 in general is who the real Big Bad is going to be. Will there be a specific character brought in? That was one of the things that was so interesting entering season 3. We knew that the Sinnerman was going to be out there, but it was also fairly easy to suspect that Marcus Pierce was going to get roped into the mire somehow. We didn’t know that he would be Cain, but there was a lot to be excited about regardless.
Lucifer season 4 should start streaming on Netflix at some point in 2019, though nothing is confirmed yet.
