Real Housewives of Orange County preview: Poker party problems

Real Housewives of Orange County

Moving into Monday night’s Real Housewives of Orange County episode, you are going to have a chance to see the ladies finding themselves in the midst of a new activity: A poker party. Doesn’t this seem fun? On the surface, sure — it marks a chance for all of them to focus on something that is not the typical drama in their lives. Unfortunately, that doesn’t necessarily go according to plan — blame Vicki Gunvalson and Kelly Dodd for that, since the two get into some arguments as to whether or not Vicki has been a good friend. Sure, there are some other reasons for the conflict, but that’s just what the preview video below highlights.

By and large, though, the poker party is small stuff when you think about what some of the Housewives are dealing with away from the event. Take, for example, Tamra Judge’s concern over her husband Eddie’s health. Our heart goes out to her.

Below, the synopsis for Monday’s Real Housewives of Orange County episode offers up some more information on what’s ahead:

New divorcees Shannon and Kelly bond on a night on the town, making Tamra feel left out, as she tends to her husband Eddie, who needs a second heart procedure. Vicki pushes her son Michael to marry his girlfriend. Shannon makes progress on her new business venture with QVC. Emily hosts a poker party, where her mother-in-law Pary bonds with an emotional Kelly and Gina’s loud mouth irritates Emily’s husband, Shane.

As you can see, this is one of those episodes where there are a lot of different things going on that have a little bit of something for everyone. The poker party is probably going to be the part with the most staying power, but that’s mostly because the majority of the show’s conflicts tend to happen at some sort of designated “party” where most of the women are in one place.
