Cable ratings: The Sinner season 2, Yellowstone, and Suits season 8
When it comes to The Sinner season 2 in particular, one of the questions that we have is whether or not it can sustain itself … or even grow its audience after finding a lot of success with that over the first season. At the moment, we do have some reasonably good news on the subject! Wednesday night’s new episode generated once more a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demographic and also just over 1.1 million viewers. It did slip slightly from the premiere, but given that most viewers know what to expect at this point, it’s hard to really pick up brand-new viewers. USA is probably happy with what they’re seeing here.

Now, let’s talk some other ratings.
Yellowstone – Even though it does already have a season 2 renewal, we remain fascinated by its numbers. They’re remarkably steady, especially for a first-year show without a ton of promotion outside the Paramount Network and other networks under the same ownership umbrella. It posted another 0.4 rating in the demo and almost 2.1 million viewers. While it did lose some viewers following the premiere, ever since episode 2 it’s been virtually the same ever since.
Suits – The good news for the series is that Wednesday’s episode recovered from a lower outing and posted a 0.3 rating once again in the demo. However, it did slide under 1.1 million viewers for the first time this season. These numbers are still comparable to what they were at the end of season 7, and given just how good this season has been so far, we’re going to keep fighting for another season to happen.
