Big Brother 20 live feed spoilers: Does Rockstar want to be evicted? (day 49, afternoon)

Rockstar

In our afternoon Big Brother 20 update for day 49, we come back to a topic that always makes us groan audibly: The idea of someone deliberately throwing their own game into the toilet. After EVERYTHING that you go through in order to be there, and with so many other people that would love to have a chance to be in the Big Brother house but aren’t because you’re there instead with this once in a life time opportunity, how can you throw it all away? It’s true that we’re not in the game and don’t have any real idea the sort of emotions that go through your head, but this really is such an incredible opportunity that it always makes us pull out our hair (and we have very little of it left to pull out!).

This afternoon, Rockstar debated in a conversation with Sam the idea of falling on her own sword, making it clear in her eviction speech that she would rather Bayleigh stay and try to win to make a bigger social statement … especially if she thinks that she cannot win and will just be thrown on the block again and again.

Here’s the thing, though — we do think that Rockstar, if she actually managed to make it to the end, would have a good case as an underdog who survived the block many times and even being on the outside of the vote. She’s not a great player but she’d be a survivor and there is something to be said for that. Yet, with her talking about giving up that doesn’t exactly make us want to root for her.

Sam hasn’t had many great arguments on the show as of late, but she did a good job reminding Rockstar of one thing: It’s the team at home that matters more than just yourself. They are worth fighting for and we hope that she doesn’t give up for that reason. There are competitions that we do think that she is capable of winning moving forward, and she does also still have some allies.
