NCIS season 16 filming progress report: Episode 2 title + more

NCIS

For anyone out there wanting a progress report on where things are right now in terms of NCIS season 16 filming, production seems to be done now on the first episode!

In a new post on Twitter (which CarterMatt has for you below), writer Scott Williams confirms that the upcoming second episode of the season is entitled “Love Thy Neighbor” — meanwhile, we have a photo of seemingly Jimmy Palmer wearing what could very well be cosplay for Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog (probably not but that would be fun too).

For anyone wanting a little bit of NCIS trivia, this is not the first episode of the series with the word “Thy” in it! If you want to know what the other one is … think back to the end of season 11, when the finale entitled “Honor Thy Father” aired. That episode was, in part, a tribute to the late Ralph Waite.

Hopefully, this Palmer photo means that Brian Dietzen is going to have a great deal of screen time within this particular episode.

As great as it is that NCIS has made it to the second episode filming-wise, there is clearly so much more work to be done! Filming is going to keep going until spring and there’s a really good chance that there are some more surprises coming our way. We certainly hope that is the case, given that NCIS is at its best when it finds a way to combine a healthy dose of TV comfort food with figuring out how to keep you constantly on your toes. That’s what they tried to do in the finale, where we had that epic cliffhanger with Vance’s kidnapping.
