NCIS season 16: Five things to expect this fall on CBS

NCIS

As we get closer to NCIS season 16 coming on the air this fall, what are some of the things that you can expect to see? Within this article, we’ve come up with a handy list of suggestions! There are no major spoilers, but rather some quality teases for what is coming up next.

1. No immediate time jump – While it’s highly likely that there will be one coming in the near future, that’s not going to be happening right away. Instead, the series will be resolving the Vance storyline, and not in a way that’s similar to the start of season 15.

2. More Kasie Hines – You may have heard about Diona Reasonover’s promotion to series regular already, but it’s notable once more in that this character is going to be an extremely important part of the series moving forward.

3. David McCallum’s commitment – While you will continue to see Ducky on the series, it is going to be in a capacity similar to what we had during the 15th season. He will be in many episodes, but also gone here and there. What’s the reasoning for this? Basically, it has to do with David’s interest in spending more time with his family.

4. A possible new character – While there hasn’t been any additional characters as of yet, don’t be shocked to see someone join around episode 5 or 6. This is something that the CBS series has done in the past, and we’re coming off of them doing this very thing this past year for Maria Bello.

5. A milestone on the way – while there is no official season 17 yet, don’t be shocked if that ends up coming down the road. If they make it there, you’ve got a pretty good chance that you will see a 400th episode! We’ve said this before, but we would love to see many former cast members come back for another turn.
