The Vampire Lestat season 4 official; what is the focus?

In what has to be considered one of the worst-kept secrets of all time, The Vampire Lestat season 4 is happening over at AMC. What more can we say about it now?
Well, for starters, we are going to have yet another new title, with the show being shifted over to what is now Queen of the Damned. The Hollywood Reporter also notes that Hannah Moscovitch will be succeeding Rolin Jones as showrunner. He will be on board still as an executive producer.

For those unaware, a huge chunk of the upcoming story from the world of Anne Rice is focused heavily on Akasha, an ancient vampire (played by Sheila Atim) who made a brief appearance in the most recent season. You will have a chance to learn about her story and, hopefully, we will get more of some established characters as well.
In a statement, here is what AMC Global Media chief content officer / AMC Studios president Dan McDermott had to say:
“In The Vampire Lestat, Mark, Rolin, Hannah and this extraordinary cast delivered an unforgettable season filled with propulsive storytelling that captivated the passionate and engaged fans of this franchise … We can’t wait to continue the journey with Queen of the Damned, one of the most iconic stories in Anne Rice’s mythology, and watch our established and beloved characters confront Akasha with their world, and ours, very much hanging in the balance.”
If we are lucky, we will have a chance to see the next chapter of the story next year … but we are already bracing ourselves for 2028, based mostly on the wait between seasons we’ve had already.
