The Affair season 4 episode 8 promo takes on ‘where is Alison?’ mystery
For a little more news on this, all you have to do is check out the promo that CarterMatt has for you below, which features Cole and Noah doing what they can to retrace some of Alison’s last steps before disappearing into the void. That includes speaking with her father, who we know to be an especially loathsome figure who abandoned and ignored her until the time came around when he realized that he needed a kidney. At that point, he was there, begging for help and pretending as though he really cared.
Think about the circumstances of Alison’s life the last time we saw her: Realizing that Ben was married, getting arrested, and also dealing with her father. There’s a reason to worry about her stability, let alone her whereabouts. There’s such an ominous feeling looming over these past several episodes and there is also a lingering question: Is Alison going to survive this season? This story has basically shown her that hope is possible only to take that hope and then rip it away and throw it far into the ocean. No matter where she is, she finds herself sitting on her own island incapable of finding what she wants or needs. She deserves better, but clearly is not getting it.
At one point in this upcoming episode, Noah and Cole’s team-up is also going to turn violent as the two turn on each other. This is another clear reminder that the ghosts from their past never fully go away.
