Outlander notes: Sam Heughan’s Today Show, BUILD Series interviews

Outlander season 3 episode 9 photos

For everyone out there still looking for some more interviews featuring Outlander star Sam Heughan, we’ve got plenty in this CarterMatt update!

Let’s start with early this morning, when Sam appeared on The Today Show to speak about his role in The Spy Who Dumped Me, auditioning for the role, and also how he laughed out loud when reading the script in South Africa. He also talked about some of those James Bond “rumors” (which aren’t really rumors so much as people just asking questions) and the first acting role that he had. This was a fairly-short interview, but it was rather fun! It was a surprisingly personal interview for morning-show TV as Sam got to talk about his mom, drama school, and honing his craft as an answer. It felt like a lot was packed in to a reasonably short period of time.

Of course, remember that The Spy Who Dumped Me comes out in theaters this week.

Other interviews

Sam also appeared on BUILD Series earlier this week and touched on a wide range of topics including the movie, his charity work, and also what it was like working with the hundred indigenous actors that the production flew over to Scotland to help film some of the later sequences of season 4. He speaks about the much-hyped season 4 finale, which probably makes this one of the most-anticipated finales in quite some time.

While we more than understand that there is some ground in this interview that has been covered elsewhere, that’s pretty inevitable when you think about the sheer number of interviews Sam has done over the past week or so. You do have to give a tremendous amount of credit to Lionsgate for really working to get the entire cast of The Spy Who Dumped Me out there talking about the film in just about every way possible.
