Take Two episode 9 spoilers: Eddie’s past at the NYPD

Take Two

Take Two episode 9 is going to be coming on Thursday, August 16, and as we get closer to the end of the season, there’s more to learn. We especially mean this specifically through the lens of some of the main characters. One of the only ways in which this series is going to continue is if we get some more opportunities to learn about Sam and Eddie, and also care about them through both their past and their present.

We recently reported about how the August 9 episode will prove to be a huge one for Sam; meanwhile, we know now that the August 9 installment will be huge for Eddie. The title here is “Shadows of the Past,” and in the synopsis below you can get a little bit more information all about it:

Called to a murder scene in the middle of the night, Sam and Eddie are shocked to find that the man who had just hired them to find his missing wife is the most recent victim of a serial killer. Knowing that their client’s case must be related to his murder, Sam and Eddie race to uncover the twisted motives behind the killings with the desperate hope of finding his still-missing wife alive, putting the pair directly in the serial killer’s crosshairs. Meanwhile, the investigation stirs up old wounds for Eddie surrounding his contentious departure from the LAPD.

Learning about Eddie’s past with the police is going to be important, but we don’t necessarily want Take Two to become a redemption story where he eventually finds a way to end up becoming a police officer again. We like Eddie in his current profession and with some of the current people around him. It also does help the show on some level have its own identity. One of the things that makes it special is that you don’t have all that many shows out there that are set around private investigators these days. Cop shows, however, are pretty darn common.
