NCIS: Los Angeles season 10: Should Anna make more appearances?

Should we get a chance to see more Anna on NCIS: Los Angeles season 10? We do think it’s a subject for lively debate!

If there is a good comparison we can draw between the Anna character and someone else within the CBS world, it is probably Catherine Rollins from Hawaii Five-0. Both are characters who work within some degree of law enforcement, can protect themselves in the field like anyone else on the team, and have also had relationships with another main character. Yet, they are also both extremely polarizing. Either time we write about either one of them, what tends to happen is we get a number of people in favor of them coming back, and then a number of people protesting it. It really tends to happen without fail.

We try to see where both sides are coming from no matter what the situation is, but we definitely understand the merit of bringing Anna back given the current set of circumstances. For starters, you have the state of things right now with Callen. While it is not even confirmed at the moment that he survived the cliffhanger, if he does we could see him needing someone who cares for him at his side — especially if he needs to recover. Anna is one of the few people who really understand him well not just on the job, but also outside of it. The characters have good chemistry together and we’d be interested to see how this near-death experience changes Callen and causes him to put more stock in the relationships that are close to him.

Meanwhile, there is also still the other side of things when it comes to what happened last season with Sokolov. While we did see Callen speak up on Anna’s behalf to the ATF, at the same time there hasn’t been a whole lot of resolution there. What really happened there? We do want to see what comes next for her career-wise, especially since Anna is a valuable resource for the team regardless of whatever her relationship status is with Callen. She’s worth more than just that.

As for whether or not Bar Paly could return, we know that she has been overseas in China working on a project. Therefore, we don’t think that she’s appearing in the early going … but maybe at some time down the road.
