Outlander: Start time, hopes for Sam Heughan on Live! with Kelly & Ryan

Tomorrow, Sam Heughan is going to be appearing on Live! with Kelly and Ryan to promote The Spy Who Dumped Me. Also, who knows? There could be some Outlander discussion mixed in there as well.

The first thing that we should note about tomorrow’s appearance is that we’re actually not seeing Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest on the show alongside Sam. Instead, Jenna Dewan is going to be filling in for Ripa. That’s information we did not know when recording our weekly Outlander talk video below (subscribe so you don’t miss any others); all we know at that time was that Dewan was appearing.

With Jenna on the show, Outlander fans should know that Sam is in good hands. She was the moderator for the San Diego Comic-Con panel last year and is a noted fan of Outlander. We think that she’ll help to cultivate as fun an interview as possible for this particular audience. We don’t think that anything will be too in-depth, but that shouldn’t be much of a shock given that the majority of the viewers on this show won’t be super-familiar with either Outlander or The Spy Who Dumped Me.

As for when you can actually watch the special, Live! with Kelly and Ryan is syndicated and therefore may air at different times depending on where you are. With that being said, though, the earliest you can see it is 9:00 a.m. Eastern time, which is where it airs on the ABC affiliate in New York City where it tapes. Check some of your local listings depending on where you are for more information; while the show does come on many different ABC affiliates all over the country, it does very slightly depending on where you are.

We will have some more coverage in the morning in the event that you miss it; we are on the West Coast, so it’s going to be a little bit of an early morning for us! We’ll also do our best to have some sort of video included of the appearance after the fact.
