The Affair season 4 episode 8 preview: Question everything
At the end of tonight’s new episode, after all, what we saw was the show’s timeline push itself to the flash-forwards that we’ve seen featuring Cole, Noah, and Anton throughout the season. Alison is now missing, and we’re going to see these characters scramble for answers. Meanwhile, it seems as though Helen is going to be going on an emotional journey of her own after coming back to Vik after her journey to Joshua Tree. Will that last, and are we going to see Vik die by the end of the season? All of these are questions to think about.
Below, The Affair season 4 episode 8 synopsis offers up some other information when it comes to what lies ahead:
A hopeful epiphany leads Cole on a journey to a horrific discovery. Noah questions his role in tragic events.
That certainly sounds foreboding, doesn’t it? This is one of the most mysterious synopses that we’ve seen for the entire season and with that in mind, we do wonder precisely what Showtime is hiding and how much we should be afriad.
One of the other things that we do very much think about when it comes to the series’ future is what happens in the context of the fifth and final season renewal. Now that we know that the series is ending, how much is the series going to build towards that ending? We certainly do think that there is a plan in place and we are excited to see more of the story build towards that.
With that being said, we do expect that The Affair is not going to hesitate when it comes to delivering emotional wallops.
