The Good Doctor season 2: When should first footage be released?
Given that filming has been going on for a good while now when it comes to the season, it would be rather nice to get some sort of fantastic promo for the show sooner rather than later. Yet, we’re also not really expecting that given that we are still so far away from the premiere.
For many networks, there seems to be a real method to the madness in terms of when they want to start releasing footage for what lies ahead. When it comes to The Good Doctor in particular, our feeling is that the best way to time thinks out would be to release the first promo when you get around to mid-late July. This would give the series a real opportunity to shine on the air for at least a month before the premiere, and at that point there would also be plenty of time in order for the producers to have some really great material to release.
We do think that expectations have to be high for season 2 based on the ratings the first time around and also the critical acclaim. Yet, we do have a feeling that the producers are up for the challenge moving forward. There’s a great cast assembled, we have a solid cliffhanger with the Dr. Glassman storyline, and we do think that ABC is in with this series for the long haul. While there is no season 3 renewal just yet, we do remain fairly confident that this is something that is going to be coming down the line. (Read more about that over here.)
