Chicago PD season 6 spoilers: Rob Morrow poised to guest star
According to a report from TVLine, the Numb3rs alum is going to be appearing in the third episode of the upcoming season (premiering this September), where he is going to play the part of a rich, liberal entrepreneur names Evan Gilchrist. He’s someone who has become an outspoken critic of the police department over time and isn’t one to sing their praises when they do something right. Yet, he also realizes that he is going to need their help when his teenage daughter is missing. This is an emotional story for this character, and it should be a good one when it comes to characters trying to bridge the gap and understand each other better. Are there bad cops? Certainly, but there are also good ones who are legitimately trying to make the world better.
Morrow’s casting is the second major one that we’ve heard about to date for Chicago PD season 6, as we’ve also learned already that you’re going to get a chance to meet Anne Heche as an important character within the larger police department. Whether or not she is an ally or adversary to Voight and Intelligence remains to be seen, but we certainly do not think that the producers are out to create the same exact sort of character that we just had with Denny Woods. The series wants to be relevant, and they also want to create some new characters who look and feel very different from any other that you’ve already had a chance to meet.
Morrow’s TV credits also include Northern Exposure, and he has also become a rather-prolific director for such shows as The Fosters.
