Lucifer odds and ends: Our Father Frank (and Funko) hopes

Lucifer

Welcome to another Lucifer update! The point of this one is rather simple, and that is to pick up on a couple of fun odds and ends from this past weekend at San Diego Comic-Con. While the full cast was not present there, Tom Ellis did make the trip down along with Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson. With that in mind, there were some fun antics and also some things that raised a mental antennae in our brain.

Let’s kick things off with this: Wouldn’t it be fun to see Father Frank again? While we understand that the fun image of Ellis alongside Colman Domingo (as his Fear the Walking Dead character Victor Strand) is simply just that, there is something really fun that still comes with getting to see it! (Check it out, via Modrovich, below.) When we wrote a piece earlier this summer talking about past characters we’d love to see again, there was a rather large contingent of people pleading for more Father Frank. We get it, given that it was fascinating to see Lucifer around someone of the Cloth and Domingo is also amazing.

Unfortunately, Father Frank is also dead — but isn’t there still a chance for a cameo from the afterlife? We don’t think Lucifer is out to resurrect anyone, but they do have connections to Heaven and Hell that are rather different than almost any other show.

We’ll keep our fingers crossed, though we also do not have anything resembling expectations, either.

Can we get a Funko?

The series clearly has the attention of the famous company, known for their Pop! figures that decorate Comic-Con store floors (we know this first hand because every year we go to Comic-Con our family comes home with like 50 of them). Now, Henderson is doing his part to get some more attention to getting Lucifer Funkos into the hands of the fans. Take a look at his message on the subject below! We’d certainly be down to add it to our personal family collection, if it ever happens. Besides Lucifer, there are a ton of TV properties that the company really should consider, but with Lucifer pretty high on the list.

At the moment, it certainly feels like there’s a chance for there to be some figures made before the series returns with new episodes in 2019.
