The Man in the High Castle season 3 premiere date revealed, season 4 renewal

It’s that time of year when Comic-Con comes to town and fans are given glimpses into new seasons of their favorite shows and of movies set to premiere in the fall. For fans of the Amazon series, The Man in the High Castle, they were given so much more. Fans learned that the series had been renewed for season 4, when its third season would premiere, and were granted a trailer for the upcoming season 3. Needless to say, it was a great Comic-Con for them. So let’s discuss what we have learned.

According to Deadline, for it’s upcoming third season, the series will debut on October 5. The series is based off of Philip K. Dick’s 1962 novel in which the Nazis and Imperial Japan won World War II and ruled over a divided America, and after an intense season 2 finale, fans are eager for the series to return. In addition to a season 3 premiere date, the series has also been renewed for a fourth season, and while this may come as a surprise to some given that season 3 has yet to debut, it’s really not that shocking. The Man in High Castle is one of Amazon Prime’s most watched shows and is an Emmy-winning series. With that said, it only makes sense that Amazon would renew the series for another season. For those wondering when season 4 will debut, that has yet to be determined, however, it’s safe to assume that it will be action-packed and intense based on how season 3 is shaping up to be.

The season 3 teaser trailer was released this past week at Comic-Con and in the trailer, the Reich’s hold on its people getting weaker as they are begin to rebel. The Resistance leaders are persuading people to join them by convincing them to fight for the world they want to live and be apart of. The trailer also gives fans a hint at what the Reich is up to, which includes being obsessed with the multiverse and inter-dimensional domination. The Reich wants access and appear to be bound and determined to get access, which as the trailer goes on, only makes the Resistance want to fight harder. The season definitely points to the Resistance becoming more determined and resilient to the Reich. The members of the Resistance are shown to be putting their lives on the line more so than ever before.

As the series moves forward it has been revealed that the series will use Dick’s unfinished sequel to the 1962 novel to continue telling stories. While only two chapters were written, it will be interesting to see where the writers will take the show once they have run out of source material.

Overall, fans should be thrilled. The show was renewed for season 4, it’s coming back on October 5th, and we finally have a trailer. It seems like Comic-Con was a success.

The Man in the High Castle premieres October 5th with all 10 episodes dropping simultaneously.
