The 100 season 5 episode 11 video: A look inside ‘The Dark Year’
The video that CarterMatt has for you below (featuring Jason Rothenberg) reveals that Clarke is facing a huge crisis — trying to figure out how to save her mother in an extremely limited period of time. She already had a lot on her plate prior to this, but now the stress is starting to pile on and it could prove to be too much. Through this story, Clarke is also going to learn and better understand more of precisely what her mother went through. There’s no guarantee of a happy end at the conclusion of the episode, but we are prepared already for what is most likely going to be an emotional journey.
Meanwhile, Rothenberg also teases that this episode, entitled “The Dark Year,” is also going to give you a chance to learn more about those who escaped McCreary’s reign — they’ve found temporary refuge in a cave, and they are starting to look towards whatever their future could be. The end of this video does make it fairly clear, at least to us, that what is coming up in the future is war, which has always been a theme of this show. We’re gearing up for bloodshed, and plenty of it, in what could prove to be one of the craziest endings to a season so far.
We’ve taken a look at a lot of the coverage that has come in from the show while at San Diego Comic-Con this year, and one of the real constants that we’ve seen time and time again is that there’s going to be some serious reasons to be afraid in regards to the fate of a number of key characters and we have learned over the years that this show is not afraid to kill off big players.
