Vikings season 5 episode 11 return date (finally) revealed; new trailer
Why the long wait? Well, it’s rather interesting. Even though this season has a longer episode count than ones in the past and has been done with production for some time, History is apparently committing to only doing around ten episodes a year to try and stretch the series out. The show’s been at work on season 6 for a rather long time already, and this likely meant that it will be mid-to-late 2019 before that sees the light of date.
Add to all of this series star Katheryn Winnick landing a new project over at Netflix (read more over here), and we have even more questions about the show’s future — and also her future as a part of it. Yet, it does feel like there’s going to be plenty of time to speculate on that moving forward. We just remember that there is that prophecy out there about Lagertha and it’s hard to imagine that it is going to be vanishing at some point in the near future.
If you do want to check out something very enjoyable while you wait around for the second half of the season to premiere, we recommend the trailer below! This highlights a whole lot more in the way of bloodshed/chaos, plus also the return of Clive Standen as Rollo! He was teased up at the very end of season 5A, and the assumption was certainly that we’d get a chance to see a good bit of him moving forward. Standen is always welcome in our books for however long he is available.
