Lucifer season 4: Warner Bros. TV celebrates Netflix pickup at SDCC

Lucifer

While it is true that there is no formal Lucifer season 4 panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year, the series still will be represented in its own way! Not only is Tom Ellis going to be a part of a panel, but there is also a rather-fun photo opportunity for people at the convention to take a photo with a pair of rather-famous angel wings.

To see a little bit more about this, all you have to do is look at the tweet below via Warner Bros. TV, who were kind enough to give the show at least some sort of attention within the convention center. Also, this is about as well-placed a #LuciferSaved hashtag as you’re going to find. This is another reminder that the studio is extremely well-aware of how important Twitter was in getting the show a new home. Netflix picked it up for a fourth season in June, and production is set to officially begin next month.

With all of this in mind, it’s going to be interesting to see in the coming days precisely what Ellis knows and doesn’t know about the story that is coming up. It’s possible that the writers have briefed him on a few things, but it’s going to be hard for him to speak in-depth on anything when it comes to on-set experiences. That feels more like something that we’ll get more of at some various panels in the future. (We know that there is a show-specific convention happening in the UK early next year.)

Lucifer will not premiere on Netflix presumably until 2019; hopefully, this little photo opportunity is just one of many awesome things that Warner Bros. is planning in the weeks ahead to promote the show. We’ve said it a few times over now but it bears repeating: We have a hard time thinking that the streaming service revived the show to only have it exclusively for one season. A season 5 is very much still possible!
