Outlander season 4 photo: New look at Cesar Domboy’s Fergus!
The above is one of the latest behind-the-scenes shots released by the series (you can see a full version below), and this one gives you a pretty great sense of the evolution of this character since we first saw him in season 3. Fergus, despite his young age, has experienced a lot of hardship and pain — he’s lost a hand, been on the run, and spent years working alongside Jamie Fraser without quite knowing what the future holds. He’s wise beyond his years, but even with all of that in mind, it’s hard to imagine he was prepared to someday head off to America. This is a new world for him and with that, inevitably, comes new experiences. He’ll get to encounter many of those throughout the fourth season, premiering this November on Starz, and the photo proves that he is fitting in quite nicely in this world!
For starters, this image is a reminder of why Terry Dresbach and her team are nominated for an Emmy, as some of the period costumes with Outlander are second to none. It feels appropriate to both the time and the setting, and it was certainly important for Fergus to find a way to blend in to this world. This is going to be a very fascinating season coming up, one full of new, exciting adventures alongside a number of emotional surprises. Given that we still have so long to wait until some new episodes come on the air, we imagine that this is far from the last photo that Starz is going to be teasing from the show in the weeks/months ahead.
