Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 8 video: Smurf wants a grave for Baz

Animal Kingdom season 3

Want to get some more insight when it comes to Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 8? Let’s just say that we’ve got a little more insight on that subject now via TNT, and it reminds us that Smurf isn’t altogether different after emerging from prison. This is the first time in which the character’s been on the outside since last season, and it is clear that she is walking into a slightly different environment than in the past.

To be specific, we mean that in terms of Baz first and foremost. She becomes rather upset when she first hears the news that Baz does not have any sort of proper burial site, and that all the guys did was a ritual out at sea. She’s very intent on changing that — she claims, in part, that it is for Lena, but we figure that it is just as much for her and everyone else. She wants to instill some sort of sense of healing, and this is probably one of the best ways in which to do that (at least through her particular lens).

What we think this scene signifies more so than anything else is Smurf doing just about everything that she can to instill a sense of power and ownership that she has not had in a while. She wants to do everything that she can in order to ensure that she gets some of what she wants, and control is pretty high up on that list. If she can get the Cody Boys back under her thumb, that gets her closer to her own sense of happiness.

Beyond what’s going on with just Baz, though, she is also feeling a little bit of frustration when it comes to the latest job that the guys are working on. Because she was not there from the beginning, it feels as though they are very much hesitate to clue her in as to exactly what is being planned.
