Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 8 preview: The heist falls apart

Animal Kingdom season 3

When Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 8 airs on TNT in one week’s time, we are looking at a landscape that is, at least in part, different than what we’ve seen before this summer. Smurf is now out of jail and with that, she’s got the ability to pick up some of the work she had left off when she first was locked up. It’s also a chance to learn more about what the Cody boys have been up to — based on some of what we’re getting to see and hear about this episode now, that could mean many problems for some of them.

Also, this episode does have the task of working to consider some of the major plot threads that were established tonight, with one of the biggest ones being the heist job orchestrated with the help of Billy. Let’s just say that things here are not going to go according to plan at all.

Below, the Animal Kingdom season 3 episode 8 synopsis offers up some more news on what’s next:

The weed heist goes awry and leaves J (Finn Cole) and Deran (Jake Weary) stranded. Pope (Shawn Hatosy) and Billy (Denis Leary) butt heads as Craig (Ben Robson) tries to keep the peace between them. Smurf (Ellen Barkin) learns about what J has been hiding from her since she’s been away.

It’s obvious that there are going to be quite a few significant conflicts that unfold throughout this episode, really to the point where it’s not entirely clear where all of them are going to wrap up. The good news, at least for now, is that there are still many episodes to go this season. That means there is a chance that we will see things twist and morph in a few different ways that we don’t see coming.
