NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 spotlight: The (possible) future for Sam Hanna

We’re back today with another edition of our NCIS: Los Angeles spotlight series, and today the primary focus is on a man in Sam Hanna who we very much love. He’s a leader of the team, he is integral to the story, and we think that he could be due for a very important season coming up — with of course one huge caveat attached to it.

We don’t think we have to drop too many clues in the slightest as to what this caveat is — after all, the man’s life is in danger! We’re aware that he, Callen, Deeks, and Kensi remain in danger after the end of season 10, and we are definitely considering the future with that in mind. Yet, of course it’s at the top of our wishlist that all four stay alive, so we’re moving into the future with that sort of consideration on our mind.

Suggestion 1 – That we see Sam working on his recovery from what happens. We’ve already mentioned how it would be valuable to see these characters actually recover from what they’ve been through as of late. The last thing that we want to see, after all, is for there to be no real ramifications for anything that happened with the cliffhanger. Saving Sam get himself back in fighting shape could be an exciting, even-inspiration cliffhanger for the show.

Suggestion 2 – Honor Michelle. We really think thought that this was something that would happen in season 9, but the nature of the final episodes of the season rendered that impossible. Hopefully, we get a chance to really have proper closure here within the first half of season 10 so that Sam can really start to look ahead.

Suggestion 3 – More time with Hetty. While we know that her capture was a big part of season 9, and that of course kept her away, we are hoping to get some sort of screen time for the two characters. They’ve absolutely had some great scenes in the past!

Suggestion 4 – Undercover work. It’s a huge foundation of this show, but what we’d love to see for Sam coming up are the creation of some new personas. This would keep with the tradition of the show, but also still find a way to court some new fans.
