While there may not be a formal Gotham season 5 panel over at San Diego Comic-Con this year, it does appear as though there is still going to be some sort of present for the Fox series this year — and we’re not just talking about a panel featuring Bruce Wayne himself in David Mazouz.
Instead, the folks over at ComicBook.com highlight that on Wednesday, July 18 during the convention’s preview night event, there is going to be an opportunity for Gotham fans to see some sort of “sneak peek” at it and some other shows via Warner Bros. TV. As for what exactly this sneak peek means, however, that remains to be seen and we still have some questions in that sense. After all, filming for the final season of the show is not even officially going to be underway until we roll around to a few days after this event happens, so it’s not like there can be much footage shown off. It’s possible that the preview could just come in the way of new information, or maybe the producers have crafted something special in advance of filming that offers a clue or to as to precisely what is coming.
No matter what it is, we’ve got a feeling that Gotham season 5 is going to prove itself to be worth the long wait — after all, new episodes of the series are not set to come on Fox until the new year. Reports are that the final season is only going to run for ten episodes, and with that in mind there’s quite a bit that producers are going to need to cram into a fairly small amount of space. There are a lot of stories that need to be built up and villains that are further established in order for the show to match the overall amount of hype that we’ve got for it.
