Lucifer season 4 spotlight: What’s next for Chloe Decker?

Chloe Decker

We’re back for another Lucifer season 4 spotlight, and one week after putting the focus primarily on Tom Ellis and his leading man of Lucifer Morningstar, we’re shifting things over to none other than Chloe Decker. Lauren German has crafted a fantastic character through three seasons, someone who has a ton of heart but then also the capacity to be tougher than stone. She’s formidable, intelligent, and she’s in for all sorts of revelations with the season 3 cliffhanger in mind. Chloe is most likely due for more change than any other single character when the series premieres on Netflix, likely in 2019.

So what sort of specific things do we want to see come her way? Let’s go ahead and dive into some now!

Understanding of Lucifer – We know that not every single viewer of Lucifer is a Deckerstar, so we want to expand this beyond just the idea of the two being an item. More so than anything, we do want to see Chloe work to better understand him this season. There’s something fun that could come out of her just starting to understand the elaborate world that she is a part of and has been for some time.

Frustration towards more than just Lucifer – Remember, it’s not just Lucifer who has kept a pretty enormous secret from her. The same can be said for many of the other characters around her! This is something that can be explored on a little bit of a larger scale and admittedly, Lucifer is going to be a much better show if they dive into it in such a way.

More stories for her and Trixie – We’d love to see a few more stories that give these two time together, especially since Trixie brings to the world a sort of imagination that not even Lucifer can fathom. She’s also one of the few characters who can really ground the story within a realistic realm — with Chloe now knowing about the Devil Face, that’s not something that can be said for her anymore.

More undercover work – One of the episodes we loved the most in season 3 was the high-school reunion, mostly because it served as a great way in which to learn a little bit more about Chloe as a character and what she missed out on when she was younger. These are the best stories — ones that introduce something fun in the present, while also allowing for an opportunity to explore more about a character’s past.
