Floribama Shore season 2 cast heads to Central Park (video)
As the video below highlights, the group recently went on a brief jaunt in New York City as a way to further promote their return to the shore down south — as you would imagine, hijinks ensued. This is one of the reasons why it is so valuable to throw some of these characters into situations that they are unfamiliar with — the whole fish-out-of-water effect is one of the reasons why Jersey Shore worked so well in some of the seasons in which they were not in New Jersey. You had an opportunity to see them in parts of the country that felt reasonably familiar to them, while at the same time also in some parts of the world that were not. While we understand that this is just a little detour for the Floribama Shore gang, it is still fun.
So what do we learn in here? For starters, that the Hudson River is not the same body of water that you find in Central Park (okay, so we did already know that). Also, at least one member of the cast is ready and willing to take his shirt off for any opportunity that he is presented. All of this lays the foundation for what is, at least hopefully, going to be a fun and crazy season where a lot of interesting stuff ends up happening. The first season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation proved to be far more entertaining than we actually thought it was going to be moving into it; with that in mind, we’re certainly hoping that this is going to be a series that matches it in terms of both entertainment value as well as craziness. One of the things that did make the first season of Floribama Shore interesting was that the cast came across as relatable — sure, they all made a number of mistakes, but they felt human and like real people. Trying to replace that after being exposed to fame could be one of the show’s biggest challenges coming up.
