Poldark season 4 episode 4 expectations: Pain for Dwight, Caroline

Moving into Poldark season 4 episode 4, we have many different expectations — as we often do for many other episodes. Why not map many of them out? We’ve got a list for you below, but remember that there are spoilers ahead from the first three episodes of the season. If you’re located in America or are behind with the season, know that going in!

If you’re still with us, however, read on for some more insight.

Dwight and Caroline – This is the story that may have the largest total impact within this episode, largely because it is the story that is kicking off in the most emotionally-devastating place. Dwight knows that something seems wrong with his daughter Sarah — he has yet to vocalize it, but you can see it in his behavior. The preview for this upcoming episode features Caroline threatening to leave him. Has he tried to point out this problem to her, and is she, in turn, reacting to this? It’s something to keep your eyes peeled on.

Ross and Demelza – Signs point towards the two spending more time together this week; as a matter of fact, this may be the most important story for the two of them to date as they work to resolve some issues within the mines. This is a test of they really are on the same page and/or if they can move forward together as a stronger unit.

Drake – He has some big decisions to make in regards to his romantic future. He has feelings for Morwenna and those will never quite go away. Yet, he also has a suitor in Rosita. He may eventually be pressured into making this relationship work since, otherwise, loneliness is his only option. Yet, he’s probably keenly aware that Morwenna is only with Ossie because of matters stemming from a crisis in his past. Not only that, but the idea of being with him again someday may be one of the only things really keeping her going.

Morwenna – Speaking of which, could Ossie really institutionalize her? We’re very much worried about that, though to be fair we’re worried about pretty much something for this character every single week.
