Poldark season 4 episode 4 video: Ossie’s planning something awful

Poldark

In what should not be a surprise to really anyone out there, Poldark season 4 episode 4 is going to feature the character of Ossie Whitworth doing something awful. (Warning: There are some spoilers ahead if you’re not up to date on the series.)

How awful? Well, he’s basically going to try to do something else drastic in order to get rid of Morwenna. For most of the past season or so, he tried to force his wife into having a physical relationship with him after welcoming his baby — when she refused, he got desperate. He’s already being used again by Rowella, and in the midst of his anger trying to institutionalize her seems to be his next order of business.

Why do this? For Ossie, his terrible argument is pretty simple — if he can lock away his wife, suddenly that gives him license to move forward and find someone else. That’s probably a way to get the “understanding” of those close to him because he can rationalize it. Meanwhile, there’s nothing that he would love more than being able to shove Morwenna away somewhere that she can be punished for not doing what he wants.

If there was ever a time for Drake to find a way to help her, this is clearly this.

As for some other odds and ends…

Let’s just say that the relationship with Dwight and Caroline could be on the rocks, in the aftermath of the two welcoming a baby girl! The problem here may have to do with Dwight’s own fears over Sarah’s health. This is something that he seemed to express some concern over on this past episode, though he hasn’t clued Caroline into much of how he is feeling just yet.

Beyond that, though, there’s also going to be an opportunity within this episode to see more problems with Ross at the mines, which really seem at this point to be the problem that will never go away for him.
