Better Call Saul season 4 teaser: Gus Fring and possible surprises

Gus FringA new Better Call Saul season 4 teaser has surfaced over at AMC and at the center of this one is a pretty clear reminder that one Gus Fring is a very busy man. Also, there’s violence all around him and he’s perfectly okay with that.

It is funny on some level that this entire promo ultimately leads viewers to Gus as opposed to Jimmy McGill or Mike Ehrmantraut — yet, that is one of the luxuries that a show like Better Call Saul has. The AMC series has done such an exceptional job over time of cultivating a great roster of notable names that they don’t have to rush giving you Jimmy or Mike right away. They are also able to build up the start of a season by promoting even more Breaking Bad synergy — the caption for this teaser on AMC’s Twitter account (which Cartermatt has for you to see below) hints that someone else may be turning up, and that is also something that has been suggested via the producers in some interviews over the past couple of weeks.

As for who would be one of the most interesting people to see, for the time being we’re inclined to point the finger at someone like Hank given that he’s the sort of guy who would be looking into the actions of Gus and some of the other criminals in the Albuquerque area. Given that Breaking Bad was more of the story of Jesse and Walt, we don’t think that either one of them is going to be appearing anytime soon. It’s actually more than fine to us if they never do given that they haven’t met any of these other characters.

The new season of Better Call Saul airs on AMC starting on August 6.
