Big Brother 28: Why was Levi not in the cast?

Over the past couple of days, there has been a rather big mystery around one Big Brother 28 houseguest in particular. Ironically, it was not someone who even ended up in the cast!

Instead, here is where we get to the curious case of one Levi Banks. This is a blonde guy who at one point was set to be among the cast, only for him to be replaced last-minute. What happened? Well, this is one of those situations where there are a lot of rumors that can spawn overnight, including that he was somehow kicked off.

However, Levi himself is now making it clear that this is 100% not the case with him. In a new post over on Instagram, he has confirmed that it was his decision to leave the show, as he realized close to entering the house that the experience was just not the right fit for him personally. He noted that he maintains a good relationship with CBS and called his time preparing for the show “life-changing.” He is also rooting for Yash out of the houseguests to win.

So ultimately, we are looking at a Big Brother 28 situation here that is not controversial at all — rather, it is someone recognizing in advance that being a houseguest may not be for them. This does make total sense when you think about it! This is a pressure-cooker experience that is long, intense, and highly stressful a lot of the time. There are conflicts and sleep deprivation can be a real thing. We much prefer someone dropping out of the pre-game than doing so in the house; in this case, CBS and the producers can simply find someone else to step up to the plate.
