Westworld season 3 premiere date hopes for HBO series
Following tonight’s finale, what could the Westworld season 3 premiere date be? Over the course of this CarterMatt article, we want to do our best to offer up potential answers!
Let’s start things off with this reminder that there is a Westworld season 3 renewal already confirmed over at HBO. This news was announced many weeks ago, and it’s hardly a surprise. While this series may not bring in the globe-shattering numbers that we’ve seen from another series in Game of Thrones, it has absolutely been a significant force for HBO in many other ways. It does fare well in the ratings, it’s a favorite within the critical community, and there’s a chance that it may score a few Emmy nominations when those are officially announced next month.
In laying all of that out on the table, it makes sense that the demand for more Westworld is very much present. It’s also clear that many people out there want more of the show sooner rather than later, yet viewers will have to wait a while. Given that there was more than a year between season 1 and season 2, the same will probably be said for season 2 and season 3. We would be shocked if there is somewhat less of a delay here, and the most likely Westworld season 3 premiere date is in the fall of 2019 at the earliest. It’s certainly possible that it could come even later than that, but we ally hope that’s not the case.
Another factor that does need to be considered here is that HBO is pretty loaded when it comes to its lineup for 2019 already. They have the second season of Big Little Lies, the final season of Game of Thrones, and then also the third season of True Detective on the docket. The earliest we foresee those three shows airing and ending is next year summer. At that point, maybe the schedule starts to clear a little bit for more Westworld.
